How To Style A Floral Kimono
For the past few weeks, we have been trying to shoot this look. Each time the pictures came out looking horrible, mainly because of the way I was trying to style it which was a basic T- shirt and a pair of denim jeans. The second time I tried to pair it with all black and it just looked horrible.
The way I wanted to style this look was very similar to some of my favorite bloggers but unfortunately, that just did not work for me.
I had to style according to my personal style but also to my body type. For me whenever I wear a loose T-shirt or in this case a loose Kimono I have to wear something fitted with it, or else my close would just look like they don't fit. Which is why opted to wear a crop top because it brought more attention to the kimono rather then the bland top.
This look is also a perfect example of my style uniform which I spoke about a few weeks ago you can take a look here
I know many of you were confused when I spoke about the Style Uniform
But for me having a Style Uniform really helps me edit my wardrobe and outfit choices.
I've had this floral Kimono for a very long time, but it's one of those pieces that you buy, but you never wear. Well luckily it's back in style and I was able to pair it with pieces I love.
These high waisted Levi jeans were gifted to me by my mom and these jeans are just so perfect to cover up my postpartum chubs and stretch marks. This crop top is so perfect I picked it up at a thrift store a few weeks ago and I have already come up with at least 3x ways I will be styling this top before the summer is over.
What is one of your favorite pieces that you can't live without at the moment?
