Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Weightless Foundation SPF 15 & Primer Plus Mattifier Review
I am so excited to be reviewing the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Foundation ($46 for 1 fl oz/30 ml) & Mattifier Primer ($38 for 1.4 fl oz/40 ml). This was my first time trying any of their products so you can imagine my excitement. The foundation comes in 30 shades, which is amazing. Many of the shades consist of different undertones which I didn't realize until I received mines. I was sent the shade Cool Almond, which is definitely my shade, however, the undertone is yellow and I am more of a red. So I think I will probably try out the either Almond, Golden Almond, or Warm Walnut.
The foundation is described as full coverage, normally I stay away from full coverage as I find that a bit too heavy for my liking. But, although this is full coverage it definitely feels like a more medium-full. I wore this on a scorching hot day, and I was very impressed, normally my foundations melt or transfer but this did not do that at all. It could be because of the primer which I will get into in a sec, but either or I was quite content. I am also getting rid of a few breakouts that I picked up from traveling, which also left a few blemishes. As a result I did not have to use concealer for additional coverage. However, I always add concealer underneath my eyes for more of a glowy look.
I don't wear a primer at all, not because I dislike primer but because I just can never find one that I love. I love this one it almost feels like a moisturizer when applying. A little goes a long way so you do not need to use a lot. It also has a very faint scent that I love. The Primer Plus Mattifier is meant to control oil & shine, blur pores along with refresh your skin. Which it does and I think it works perfectly alongside their Weightless foundation.
What is your favorite foundation and primer to use at the moment?
