I'm so excited for Spring.... oh wait it is Spring. Well, where I am located it doesn't feel like Spring, but, you would think that after 8 years of living in Chicago I would get used to this. Not quite. Thankfully it's been much warmer than past years. But I would love some no jacket weather to happen early. Since we're on the topic of Spring let's talk about Spring Essentials, shall we?
My Top 5 Spring Must-Haves
At the beginning of the year, I did a complete closet purge. I had to let go of the emotional attachment that I had with things. There was no sentimental value to the items that I was holding on to, so I simply donated them without thinking twice.
Can you believe that once, I got rid of everything, I actually now have a closet that is completely functional! Which means everything works together, which to me is the ultimate goal because it means that I will always be stylish.
Once I did my closet purge, I realized that there were a few gaps that I needed to fill in. I think no wardrobe is complete without a ton of jackets, dusters, and cardigans. Jackets are the ultimate third piece, which can instantly complete a basic t-shirt and jeans outfit.
Dusters: Normally, my Spring must have would be a leather jacket. But, I wanted to switch up a bit and wear a light duster. Dusters can easily be dressed in a cute bodycon dress. Or you can keep it chic and simple with a bodysuit, joggers, jeans or a nice mini skirt.
Bodysuits: Bodysuits are my jam this season! So easy to style, I don't have to worry about tucking in my t-shirt. I'm actually wearing the cutest crushed velvet bodysuit from AMI Clubwear. It's been in heavy rotation. I think I will pair it with a leather mini skirt and a fun layered necklace! The perfect outfit.
Wide leg pants. Now I am a little short, so wide leg pants may look a little overwhelming on my frame. But I like to pair my wide leg pants with a bodysuit or a graphic t-shirt.
Cropped Hoodies: Because I work from I have to be comfy! I'm so happy that athleisure is trending. Because cropped hoodies paired with trousers or standard boyfriend denim is my go-to work from home uniform.
Joggers: Another work from home essential, is joggers. Joggers can be dressed up easily you can wear them with a pair of heels, loafers or keep it simple with a pair of sneakers.
What are your current Spring essentials?
