Summer Reading List

Good Books To Read

Many of you have been curious to know what books I’m currently reading or would recommend. Because I got this question a few weeks ago, I thought it would be a good idea to simply combine all of my best books that you can pick up during the summer. If you are into money mindset, brand building and books about christianity then you will find these books extremely helpful. To make finding these books easy, I will be linking them directly you Amazon so you can purchase them. Normally it takes me a month to complete a book, sometimes I am able to complete a book within a week, but lately I have been extremely busy so I simply read a chapter each morning. So If I am not able to complete all of these as fast as I would like to I will be adding the ones I did not finish to my Fall/ Winter reading list.

Books To Read During The Summer

How Successful People Think- This book has been sitting on my shelf for some time now. I’ve tried reading this book several times but for some reason I just could not get passed the first chapter. However this will be the next book that I read right after I complete Building A Story Brand.

Hello, Tomorrow- Hello, Tomorrow is one of my favorite books. I have a total of three books by Dr. Cindy Trimm, each book has been the best investment that one could possibly make. I love that she talks a lot about your subconscious mind and how it relates to achieving your goals and fulfilling your purpose. In this book she really focuses on creating a vision for your life and writing it out. If you have checked out my IG Story then you know that I love to vision journal Dr, Cindy Trimm’s Hello, Tomorrow really helps you write a vision for your life. And walks you through each step. The Best part is that at the end of this book there are a ton of declarations for you to read and affirm throughout the day.

Commanding your Morning- If you purchase any book from this list, start with this one! I have read this book three times this year! Mind blowing after reading this book, my mindset changed. In this book she talks a lot about how to use your mind to really obtain all that you desire. She lays out scripture references and really shows you how much of the bible talks about your mindset. If you battle depression, or lack of confidence in self. PLEASE start with this book :)

How to Get Dressed- I’ve seen a lot of great reviews about this book As a personal stylist and now a published author, I honestly do not like reading books like this. Because they tend to be very vague and lack examples. But, for the sake of good amazon reviews, I picked it up and thought that I would give it a try.

the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People- This book was gifted to me from my mom. It is another book that I have tried to read several times but no luck getting passed the first few pages. However, it’s on several successful people that I follow, reading list. So I am determined to complete this book.

Becoming A Millionaire God’s Way- I completed this book a few days ago, and It was a great read. But I find that I have a ton of unanswered questions. I also felt that this book was a bit repetitive. His approach in regards to talking about finances seemed to have come from a place of him never having to struggle. Which I know he shared his story of struggling. But, in regards to tithes and offering he just didn’t share stories outside of himself. For example, what if you aren’t able to pay tithes what do you do? He also references making investments in stock, but never really gives straight forward tips on how to start. Rather he simply says do the research. It was a great book, but I also think becoming a millionaire Gods way has a lot to do with mindset as well. Which he really didn’t touch on. Overall great book, I just feel that he should write another one that follows up with this.

Think And Grow Rich- Now if you were to compare, Becoming A Millionaire God’s Way to Think and Grow Rich. I would choose this book. Because it has practical tips and steps that you can follow. It’s also extremely relatable despite the time difference. No wonder it’s a classic.

Everybody Writes- As we are gearing up to write more books, and continue to create blog content consistently, this book was one that was recommended to me and I look forward to really taking some time to dive in.

Building A Story Brand- I am currently reading this book and it is AHH mazing! His approach to writing sales copy and really making sure that your brands message is clear in a way that relates to your customer is the! Another great read!

Let me know which book you will be picking up or what book you are currently reading!
