Going on my second year, I have had the luxury of working from home as a Digital Stylist. Working from home has definitely made me structure my days along with my wardrobe. Personally, I like to be a bit put together, yet comfortable so my typical wardrobe normally consists of a sports bra, wide leg pants or co-ord sets. Anything that isn’t too restricting and allows me to move freely is my go-to uniform. Loungewear is normally the last thing that women shop for. Yet, incorporating loungewear pieces into your wardrobe really gives you a bit more flexibility because you can style each piece in multiple ways.
For me loungewear isn’t just the typical leggings outfit, I love flowy pants that I can easily get up to leave the house and grab a coffee without looking like I’m in pajamas. I’ve had these striped trousers for a while and probably only worn them once because I couldn’t find the right pieces to wear with them.
I came across this mustard orange Jumper dress from Femmeluxefinery that I knew instantly would go perfectly with these pants. The best part about this sweater is that it’s a dress, so I can always wear it without the pants as well. It’s super fitted which makes it easy to tuck into pants. I got this in a size medium just because I didn’t want it to be to snug. Again with my love for co-ord sets! They are so comfy and can be dressed up or down. I really need a whole section in my wardrobe dedicated to these, because I will probably be rocking these more often. This co-ord set in particular is a size medium, it doesn’t have a drawstring to adjust your waist so I recommend may ordering a sized down. I love how the hem of the top is cinched, make it easy for me to pair with high waisted jeans if I needed too. You also have the option to wear one shoulder slouched or both for an off to shoulder look. If you are much taller than I am then the pants will fit more high waisted.

You will probably see me rocking this set multiple ways here on the blog, with an oversized denim jacket and a pair of ankle boots which tends to be my go-to look with loungewear items.
I also picked up a second Jumper Loungewear set in black. This one, in particular, is my favorite because it fits more snug on me. The pants are high waisted which means I can totally rock my sports bra with them. Since I have only been home lately due to the Polar Vortex here in Chicago, I decided to pair it with my shaggy cardigan that my husband gifted me a few years ago. Since this set is a bit more snug, I can’t wear it off the shoulder which is fine with me because I really prefer the fit.
How To Find Your Wardrobe Essentials
Recently, I did a blog post on finding your wardrobe essentials which you can check out here as I go a bit more into detail about finding your wardrobe essentials in general.
I think you should have essentials for each area of your life, if you are pretty active then you would want to have your go-to athleisure wear items, if you work at a corporate job then you would need essentials for your job as well. If your weekends are spent hanging out with friends then you should have a selection of essentials for that occasion as well.
Secondly, your essentials should be able to work with a majority of the items in your wardrobe. This will allow you to really maximize your wardrobe and help you to make better shopping decisions. Each item that I showed you today can be worn so many ways with other items that I have in my wardrobe.
I try to stick with color palettes when shopping because this will ensure that I will definitely wear it. I also know my style likes and dislikes really well, this helps when it comes to shopping online. Not the typical style likes but the way you prefer garments to fit. Knowing how you like your garments to fit will help you begin to pay attention to the small finishes on the clothes you buy.
What are your go-to loungewear essentials?
