10 Fall Items I'm Adding to My Capsule Wardrobe From Quince

Every September I do the same thing: pull out my fall bins, try on half of what's in them, and realize I'm bored of most of it. This year instead of buying a bunch of random pieces, I built out a short list from Quince mostly because their cashmere and leather prices make no sense in the best way. Here's what's actually going into my rotation this season, and how I'm planning to wear it.

The Cardigan That's Doing Double Duty

This one's going in the "wear it alone or wear it under something" pile. It's a light-gauge organic cotton knit with a slightly cropped, slightly boxy fit, so it works buttoned up as a top or open over a tee when it's not quite sweater weather yet. The chocolate plum brown is exactly the kind of in-between color that makes early fall dressing easier.

A Leather Jacket That Doesn't Try Too Hard

The stretch denim has some give without losing its shape, which matters a lot when a pair of jeans is going to get this much use. The Skirt for Dressier Days
